New Student Enrollment

NOTE: ALL ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE AN APPLICATION CAN BE APPROVED AND SHOULD BE UPLOADED AND/OR ATTACHED IN THE NEW STUDENT ONLINE ENROLLMENT PORTAL. IF YOU CANNOT ATTACH THE DOCUMENTATION IN THE PORTAL, PLEASE SEND YOUR ATTACHMENTS TO FAMILYACCESS@FERRISISD.ORG WITH YOUR NAME, STUDENT'S NAME, AND YOUR PRIMARY PHONE NUMBER.


NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT PROCESS

Only students who are NEW to the district and were not enrolled during the 2019-2020 school year may complete New Student Enrollment. Students must be legal residents of Ferris ISD and between the ages of 5-21 (as of September 1st) are eligible for enrollment into FISD.

*If you DO NOT live in Ferris and need to enroll a NEW student, apply for open enrollment HERE.

 *If you are NOT enrolling a new student and your child was enrolled at Ferris ISD for the 2019-2020 school year, your child is considered a returning student and you should GO HERE.

  1. Complete the New Student Registration process online.

  2. Choose your option below.

OPTION 1: NEW FERRIS ISD FAMILY
Use this option when your family is NEW to the District and does NOT have a Family Access login.

  • Click HERE to request an account to begin enrollment.
  • After creating your account, your login and password will be sent to your email address.
  • Use the link in the email to log in and begin the process.

OPTION 2: EXISTING FAMILY ACCESS USER
Use this option if you already have students that attended Ferris ISD for the 2019-2020 school year, but you need to enroll a NEW student for this year.

  • Log into your Skyward Family Access
  • Select New Student Online Enrollment button on the left sidebar
  • Complete the process
  • Don't forget to also complete Returning Student Registration for your other children that attended Ferris ISD for the 2019-2020 school year in your Family Access.

DOCUMENTS TO UPLOAD INTO NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT

  • Parent’s Driver’s License or Texas ID Card
  • Student’s Proof of Identity
  • Immunization/Vaccination Record
  • Proof of Residency (FISD defines current documentation as anything within the last 30 calendar days.)
    • Current water, electricity, or gas bill (no telephone bills) indicating address and the parent/guardian's name
    • The most recent tax receipt indicating home ownership
    • A current lease or rental agreement
    • Other timely documents that indicate location of residence, as approved by Central Registration
    • A copy of parent or legal guardian's current Texas Driver's License or Government issued ID. The name and address on current Driver's License or Government ID must match the name and address on the proof of residency presented.

Don’t have the requested documents for enrollment or registration at the time the application is submitted?

After submission of the application, take a clear picture of the requested documents and text/email the picture of the documents to familyaccess@ferrisisd.org. If you are applying for PK during Round-up, please email all docs to roundup@ferrisisd.org.
